About the Role
As a Senior Backend Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing and operating microservices and APIs in production. You will lead and execute software initiatives, set technical direction with the team and actively contribute to code, architecture and process.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement backend solutions with a focus on performance, security and robustness
• Build, automate and manage Azure infrastructure (AKS/Container Apps, Functions, Storage, Service Bus/Event Hubs)
• Establish and improve CI/CD and IaC
• Observability and SRE practices: logging, metrics, tracing, SLOs and incident management
• Data modeling and integrations
• Quality in deliveries: code reviews, test strategy and continuous improvements
• Mentoring and technical guidance within the team

 
Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with backend development in production
• Solid in one or more systems-oriented languages; Rust preferred. Experience with Java/C++/C# is relevant
• Experience with Azure and containers/orchestration (Docker, AKS/Container Apps etc)
• Good understanding of distributed systems, API design and event-driven architecture
• Experience with CI/CD and IaC (Azure)
• Practical experience with security in cloud and production operations
• Norwegian or English, written and spoken. Norwegian is an advantage.

The workplace can be either Tromsø or Oslo.
